I’m a wife and busy working mother of two who loves to cook and bake. I enjoy showing my love to my family through things I create in the kitchen, and nothing makes me happier than to see the look on my husband’s face when he takes the first bite of something I’ve made that he thinks is really good. It’s also not too bad when the rugrats like it too! I love bake, but for the sake of the size of my rear end and my kids’ insulin levels, sweet treats usually get taken to friends or to work because my husband is not a big sweets-eater.
I take all of the pictures on this site, and I use a Canon 50D. The lenses I use the most are my 50mm f/1.4 and my 24-70mm f/2.8. I use natural light if I can. I don’t like flash and I rarely use it. If I don’t have natural light, I make the best out of what I have, and try to use the proper white balance. That can make a big difference. I’m a working mom, so most of the food is shot in my kitchen after dark in the artificial light, except on the weekends or in the glorious summertime, when I have natural light until 9:00 p.m.! If the photos stink, I tweak them a little with Photoshop CS4.
